About the LMSA

The LMSA works closely with the National Trust to provide access to a number of superb flying sites on the Long Mynd.

All these sites are "Glider Only", the agreement that we have with the NT does not permit the flying of powered models on the Long Mynd.  This is part of keeping this very special environment a quiet and peaceful place for all to enjoy.

With 8 sites to choose from there is a site for nearly every wind direction.  All these overlook the magnificent Shropshire countryside which makes this location a great day out for all the family.
The town of Church Stretton has many fine cafes and restaurants and there are many places to stay locally.

Our membership is drawn from all over the country and with the membership subscription so low (about the same as a day's parking) we do encourage everyone that fly gliders from the Mynd to join the LMSA as it enables us to keep in touch with everyone and keep you posted on what is going on.
