LMSA 2023 AGM
This year’s AGM is postponed.
Before the date is announced and to allow elections to take place at the AGM we need nominations for;
- Treasurer/secretary (one role)
- Chairman.
Unfortunately, due to family health problems, Tim Goodwin is no longer able to continue in the role of Secretary/treasurer.
Mike Evans is also resigning his post as Chairman.
There are a couple of things that Tim and Mike will attend to before the AGM. Notably covering the NT annual fee and also the clubs affiliation to the BMFA.
They will also handover at the AGM, and give all the help and guidance needed to ensure a smooth transition.
Memberships will still be handled and fees for 2023 were set at £5. We will hold this price until the AGM,

Please consider if you can spare perhaps half an hour a month to manage one of these positions and let the club know that you would like to stand asap.
The LMSA must continue to run if we are to have open access to fly.
All clubs need some level of administration, if you fly on the Long Mynd please invest a little time in your sport and safeguard its future.
About the LMSA
The LMSA works closely with the National Trust to provide access to a number of superb flying sites on the Long Mynd.
All these sites are "Glider Only", the agreement that we have with the NT does not permit the flying of powered models on the Long Mynd. This is part of keeping this very special environment a quiet and peaceful place for all to enjoy.
With 8 sites to choose from there is a site for nearly every wind direction. All these overlook the magnificent Shropshire countryside which makes this location a great day out for all the family.
The town of Church Stretton has many fine cafes and restaurants and there are many places to stay locally.
Our membership is drawn from all over the country and with the membership subscription so low (about the same as a day's parking) we do encourage everyone that fly gliders from the Mynd to join the LMSA as it enables us to keep in touch with everyone and keep you posted on what is going on.
